As the Guard walk back, they hear a cry for help. Now with six members on the guard they leave the Pride Lands. After reuniting with her cubs, the tigress presents herself as Varya,  explaining she had come to the Tree of Life to find a safe place to raise her cubs. Ono swoops low and scares off one lioness whilst everyone else assists in cornering the pride of lions. Ono points out that neither Makuu nor Goigoi, though said to have eaten the lunches of the hare and the jerboa, eat roots or leaves, and Kion agrees. Former Home(s) Ono is loyal to Kion and rarely questions his leader. A short while later, Zazu appears and after being asked by Fuli what he's doing, he replies that he's doing Ono's job (apparently) and that a rockslide has cut off the Giraffes watering hole, but no one was injured. Fuli and Anga tell Kion that, even if the Roar made him the leader of the Lion Guard, it wasn't make him a leader: he's always been one. Kion then picks up the courage to use the Roar, and blast the Outsiders far away. He lost his Mark of the guard and now possesses a Mark of the Night Pride which is the same steely grey colour as before, but on his right wing. As they track the pack, they notice no termites in the Outlands. Tamaa eventually admits that he has been using his talent to mimic villains, and Ono angrily asks Tamaa who he thinks he is. Bunga hears Laini's voice, and Ono confirms it as she rushes up to Kion. "Hapana! When he finally leaves, the Guard follow him in secret, concealing themselves in a bush nearby. In the present, Simba declares that, one day, Kovu and Kiara will rule the Pride Lands as king and queen, naming them his successors. On Kion's orders, Ono flies up and to look for the leopard. Later, after Kion learns that he is to lead the Lion Guard, he appoints Beshte, Fuli, and Ono to positions on the Guard. Confused, Bunga shouts at Kion to explain himself, wondering why he doesn't use the Roar if he is healed already. Along the way, the Lion Guard go over what he is to say to Mapigano, with Ono checking what he plans on doing. The Guard quickly move to investigate. "Oh, strange. The galagos are told to wait behind whilst they deal with the leopard, and the Lion Guard approach the tree. Sure enough, it turns out that Badili is back in their tree, and they are certain that he wants to eat them this time. They do so, and, when the crocodiles continuing sparring, the Lion Guard return to their patrol, leaving Beshte behind to speak with Hodari. Eventually, Timon and Pumbaa compose themselves, and as the group moves through the caverns, they hear Bunga and Simba's voices. However, she is caught by Mpishi, a hawk. As Kion and the Guard help defend Leopon Plains, Kion befriends, and falls in love with Mhina. The offer is accepted, and Fuli speeds away. He sees things as they are, and is not reluctant to voice his observations. Ono is the first member of any Lion Guard to be assigned a new role, and new tradition: the Smartest. He is a major character in The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar and The Lion Guard.. After losing his sight during the final battle against Scar, Ono passes on the role of the Keenest of Sight to Anga. After a wild chase in which Ono ends up crashing into a flamingo, the group discovers that they were chasing not Makucha, but Ajabu. Nirmala tells Kion to first focus on helping himself, which is the whole reason why he's here, before he can help others. Ono assures his leader that they'll find him before taking off after Bunga. The next day, Azaad leads the group to a deep and wide ravine, saying they will have to cross it to get to the Pride Lands. Kion has Ono search for another route, however, though he manages to locate one, it unfortunately leads through the Outlands. He wonders what action to take whilst waiting for Ona's mother, whilst Ona becomes distracted by a passing bug and stumbles out of the nest. Soon, he returns, his determination renewed, and the journey through the Outlands begins. Later, it is decided that the Guard will lead the herds to Mbali Fields. They laugh at the egret, and although Fuli and Bunga arrive to call off the teasing, Bunga only manages to make it worse. Ono watches as Kion uses his Roar to drive them away. Atop his head, he sports a crest of five feathers of differing lengths, starting off with a light yellow at the bases and transitioning to a slightly dark tangerine orange near the tips. Janja's Clan are in the Pride Lands, chasing Twiga and Juhudi with the Lion Guard hot on their trail. Ono suggests a thank-you gift of termites from the aardwolves to cheer him up, and when Bunga declares that he really does feel better, Ono laughs with the rest of the guard. The Lion Guard return to their home, the Pride Lands, only to find out their true place in the Circle of Life is the Tree of Life. Step 1. Step 3. Set after the original film and in the middle of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Kion continues serving as leader of the Lion Guard and also continues protecting the Pride Lands' animals mainly by making sure no predators overeat, especially outside of their own territory. Badili continues to persuade them to let him stay, even frightening Ono slightly with his sharp claws in the process. Though Azaad suggests going around the Wall, an overconfident Kion considers using the Roar to create another path as Bunga cheers him on. Beshte breaks into the cave with the rest of the Guard following, stopping the jackals just in time. Bunga tells Beshte that the Guard needs them now, and Ono agrees, ordering the duo to follow him back. Kion realizes that it must be Tamaa, and the Guard continues on their way to the Outlands. Wanting to go as fast as possible, Kion uses the Roar to summon a small twister and  carry Bunga across, surprising Janja and Jasiri. Kion wonders what to do, but Ono informs him that he only knows about eggs. Beshte explains that he was spending time with his friend Ajabu, and Ono comments that he only saw Beshte, nobody else. They find Beshte and Ono informs him that Ajabu sounded made-up and says sorry. Ono flies up and soon sees Kion in trouble, holding onto the log of the tree that snapped off with him, heading downstream. Despite being told to return, Laini insists on staying with the Lion Guard. Ono uses his smartness and figures things out. He explains that he thought they were baboons, since they were chasing him in his dream. Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. Fuli enters and almost questions it, but instead explains that Makuu has entered The Flood Plains and taken over it entirely. Approaching  Kion, Anga begins telling him a story, of a time when they were all much younger. As Kion realizes they will take the long way around after all, Azaad tells him to not worry, saying the Pride Lands are not far from them. Returning outside, Laini declares Tazama the winner of the contest, putting Vitani's Lion Guard back in the lead. The Lion Guard return to Pride Rock covered in bee stings, and Kion insists that it wasn't a total disaster, though Kiara disbelieves him. 3. After seeing that they have the Mark of the Guard. However, Rani and the Night Pride defeated the villains already. From a NON-smoking home. The Guard arrives and stops them in time. The next day, Makucha's Army strikes again. Kion suggests that maybe they can, and reminding his friends that the Lion Guard can make the impossible possible, persuades them to agree. Wanting to take a look, Kion and the others follow Azaad to the shortcut: an incredibly narrow passage through a canyon. Ono becomes concerned when Badili starts to falter, placing his wing over his eyes. The hare, the jerboa, and Muhangus admit to have not seen any of the villains, but to have only heard their voices. Though he has a distaste for violence[2], Ono is a fierce fighter and will bravely take on adversaries. While Ora worries about the Roar, Makucha tells him to act like a dragon. Suddenly, Anga swoops in and saves Beshte, bringing the others with her. Kion gives Ono the go ahead and he startles the leopard, who drops down to the ground, growling intimidatingly at the Lion Guard. Nearby, a distressed Rafiki peers over the Pride Lands, fearing for his friend. He lands on the bush and pulls the leaves aside, revealing a drongo who introduces himself as Tamaa and reveals the direction in which the hyenas went. Beshte then comments that Ono has started a trend with the other egrets, and Ono realizes that he really has done. Rafiki says that there's nothing he can do about Ono's eye. 6. When Zira orders her lionesses to stand tall, Bunga encourages Kion to use the Roar. After Beshte leaves, Kion asks why neither Ono nor Bunga believe Beshte. Ono, Beshte, Fuli, and Bunga keep an eye on the herds whilst Kion seeks advice from his grandfather. Mama is so sly even when being a leader of hungry leopards and Komodo Dragons. Despite his sharp social skills and optimism, Ono is exceptionally blu… However, Ono's vision won't ever be as good as it used to be when he was Keenest of Sight. Later at Mbali Fields, Ono soars over the peacefully grazing herds and reports to Kion that all herd members are present and accounted for, declaring the migration to be over. While Anga apologizes to her team, Bunga reassures her, noting that the Bravest is up next, and he gets to pick. As Ma Tembo approaches the Lion Guard as they practise, Timon and Pumbaa arrive to help, though Ma Tembo suddenly remembers that previous Lion Guards have always been lions. Later, Ono, Bunga, Fuli and Beshte are wading through a river after following Mbeya's directions. Back above ground, Ono sings Hakuna Matata for Ma Tembo's Herd along with the royal family and the rest of the Guard. Kion asks him if he scouted out the best route, and Ono tells him that they're to go through the plains past Maji Baridi Falls, down Rocky Ridge, then through a canyon, adding that it's pretty simple. Twiga becomes annoyed as Ono swoops in front of her, and Shingo tells him to wait his turn, calling him an 'egghead' in the process. When Bunga and Kion race through the Pride Lands playing Baobab Ball, they encounter Fuli, who flips Bunga off her back for attempting to hitch a ride on her.. Later, after Kion learns that he is to lead the Lion Guard, he appoints Beshte, Fuli, and Ono to positions on the Guard. Bunga soon calls to Ono, announcing that he's found their friend, and Ono declares that he saw him first, but accepts that Bunga found him first. Though the Guard doubts that zebras and gazelles really are fighting, Ono insists that they are, and the Guard goes to check it out. He quickly alerts the rest of the Lion Guard, and they run down to find Kion holding on for dear life. In the Outlands, Muhimu enters labor. The Lion Guard is a sequel to The Lion … Fuli, however, questions Kion's position as the fiercest member, and Ono explains that it's somewhat common knowledge that lions are fierce. He descends and warns the Guard of the danger, and Kion tells him to lead the way. Rani agrees to the plan, saying she needs all the help she can get now that she's both Queen and leader of the Night Pride. On learning of Kion and Rani's weaknesses, Mama leaves as she begins to form a plan. However for Kion's scar he says to go to the Tree of Life. It then returns, much to everyone's surprise, throwing Ono around the air. As a result, the Lion Guard reveal themselves and intimidate Mapigano into leaving. Kion and the Lion Guard come outside and the Pride Landers cheer. Disney The Lion Guard - Season 2: Ono and the Egg - Ono becomes the begrudging protector of a hammerkop bird's egg left in his nest. He has taken on vultures multiple times, probably because he is the only member of the Guard that can fly. When Beshte informs everyone that she lives near Urembo River, Fuli offers her assistance in getting there faster due to the otherwise long trip. However, he has made attempts to be encouraging before, but without good results. Kion assures the herds that they'll get to Mbali Fields soon, pausing to have Ono confirm that they will. Ono and Makini become lost in a marsh while The Lion Guard must contend with a pack of small creatures bent on fighting with them. Realizing this is the end, Rani thanks the Lion Guard for their help defending the Tree, saying she considers them all members of her pride, placing her paw on their shoulders as she says goodbye to each of them. While she and Makini head off to the river, Ono and the remaining Guard members leave for patrol. Ono is getting ready to race Fuli in the Lair of the Lion Guard, when Bunga rushes in. He then explains that he never meant to kick the galagos out, and that he had nowhere else to go. Seeing Baliyo yawning, Kion notes the Night Pride could use some rest. Fuli says that she'll lead, and dashes off, leaving the others behind. Turning to Kion, Rani tells him she meant what she said before, saying he and his friends will always be welcome at the Tree of Life. The Lion Guard smash into the eland, creating more chaos. The keenest-of-sight flies through the swarm of tsetse flies. After losing his sight during the final battle against Scar, Ono passes on the role of the Keenest of Sight to Anga. His most common form of attack is pecking enemies with his beak. He promises to use his talent only for good before flying away. 14. Soon the king is saved but he needs time to rest. Fuli assures Kion that, even if he doubts himself, she and the others don't. They meet up with Jasiri, who tells them that Kion has joined Zira and her family. He saves his mother, but the Roar continues pushing forward until it hits the nearby cliffs. He worries about what the other egrets will say, and asks if they think they will notice. Angered by this, Ono corrects him by saying Queen Janna healed him at the Tree of Life, though Bunga goes back to presenting Binga to the others. Ono explains that Kenge is a monitor lizard, and the venom from their bite can cause paralysis. Alignment Ono locates Kion speaking with his mother, Nala, about what happened earlier. When Ono uses his memory to the fullest, his eyes flash blue. Kion talks to Thurston who says that the zebras will protect the Pride Lands while they're gone. However, Askari tells Kion that there's another place that could use the Roar's help, causing Kion to realize he's talking about the Tree of Life. They continue on their way, and Ono soon points out the tree. Hearing this, Kion decides that they will head back to stop Zira, noting they have a duty to defend the Pride Lands so long as they're  the Lion Guard. Suddenly, Ullu arrives, informing the Lion Guard that the Army is moving up the pass. Though dissapointed, Rani understands Kion's decision to leave, both knowing he can't stay when his home in danger. He has been shown to be very alert, warning his flock of Kion and Bunga's impending presence. Soon after, the Night Pride emerges from the Tree to find the predators scattered over the field, confusedly realizing that they've won. When asked what happened, he reveals that Mapigano returned. Ono spots animals being attacked at a nearby watering hole. Home Though Shahaba soon jumps over the river, Bunga quickly reaches the top and grabs the baobab fruit before the branch supporting Bunga breaks, sending him to the ground with the baobab fruit. They rush off together to the Flood Plains, where Kion has a showdown with Makuu. Swala tells them to leave it to her and a number of female zebras. However, Azaad reveals the way to the mouth is far, saying they could get there by sunset if they were all cheetahs. Ona Though Beshte seems close to winning, he soon begins to tire as he get sunburned. He explains to them that he heard Kion's voice telling the impalas to go to the Outlands, adding that "hearing is believing". Telling everyone to get behind him (which Janja knows what it means), including a confused Azaad, Kion uses the Roar to widen the passage, allowing them all to take the fast route. Soon, the Guard are back to their patrol, with Ono confirming that Embamba Canyon is clear. Kion realizes they are right, noting he didn't know about the Lion Guard or the Roar back then. Ono says that everything is good, though it appears the herds are slowing down.
